What training courses do you offer?
BC Works offers various supports for training to job seekers who meet eligibility requirements:
- Short Term Certificates such as Food Safe and World Host, taken while participating in Job Search workshops
- Support to complete applications for funded training
- Assessments to ascertain if Self-employment training is a suitable option
- Financial supports to access Essential Skills Training
- Financial supports while participating in Apprenticeship classroom training (if EI eligible)

Do you offer résumé help? Will someone there do my résumé for me?
Résumé supports are offered to anyone who wishes to access our resource rooms. Our computers have templates for résumés and our libraries have sample résumés and résumé books for you to review. You are welcome to print out copies of your résumé to support your job search.
If you require someone to produce your résumé for you, you must meet the criteria for case management services to access that level of service. If you do not meet that criteria, you are welcome to bring a support person with you to assist you in producing a résumé in one of our resource rooms.
What services do you offer employers?
AbbotsfordWORKS offers a number of services to Employers including:
- Job Seekers from a wide variety of backgrounds, with diverse skills and experience
- Wage Subsidies for some job seekers
- Rooms for hiring fairs and interviews
- Posting jobs
- Pre-screened applicants for a more efficient hiring process

What services do you provide for Job Seekers?
Our self-serve resource rooms available at our 3 main locations provide job seekers living in Abbotsford with access to computers with internet access, printers, advisors, job board and more. Abbotsford Works locations also have case management services and specialized case management workers to provide eligible residents with specific resources and workshops.
How can I find my EI reference Code on the Apprenticeship website?
Please call our Storefront reception (604-859-4500) and ask to obtain your EI reference Code for Apprenticeship supports. The Greeter will set up an appointment for you to meet with the Initial Needs Assessor to initiate you accessing financial supports through the Apprenticeship On-line Portal (AOP).

Do you have any programs for older workers?
Our services are designed to meet the needs of a variety of job seekers. Please call one of our three locations and ask to meet with an Initial Needs Assessor who can direct you to an appropriate Case Manager skilled in addressing your specific employment goals.

Am I eligible to use Abbotsford Works?
Abbotsford Works is funded by the Province of BC and its Resource Rooms are open to all residents of BC, employed or unemployed. If you require more services than our Resource Rooms, please check our eligibility requirements.
Do you have wage subsidies available for Employers?
AbbotsfordWORKS has a number of options available for wage subsidies. All wage subsidies depend upon both job-seeker and employer eligibility. Find out more on the wage subsidy page.
