Apprenticeship Services

Industry Training Authority Approved Training

People who are registered in an Industry Training Authority (ITA) approved training program are called Apprentices. Apprentices who are eligible for Employment Insurance (EI) can apply with Abbotsford Works for financial supports while attending their classroom training courses. If this applies to you, please call our Storefront reception (604-859-4500) and ask to obtain your EI reference Code for Apprenticeship supports. The greeter will set up an appointment for you to meet with the initial needs assessor to initiate you accessing financial supports.

Apprentices who have lost their employer sponsorship due to lay-off and who meet eligibility requirements for case management, may access the supports of a case manager to reestablish a sponsor employer.

For more information call any one of our three locations and ask for an initial needs assessment appointment to access a case manager.
