  • Over 21 years of employment services to various target groups:
    • The Immigrant and Multicultural department provides essential employment services to immigrant populations
    • EPIC Program for persons with developmental disabilities
    • Recycling: a successful social enterprise with 50+ staff
    • Community Employment Development Office (CEDO)
  • Provides services and programs in 35 different languages
  • Employs 350 staff at 18 work sites, and hosts 1,400 volunteers at any given time

Agora Employment Essentials 

  • 26 years in Abbotsford 
  • Has successfully delivered more than 55 employment projects since 1990
  • Assisted over 650 female survivors of violence 
  • Expertise in the facilitation of career / job search workshops, including online delivery 
  • Managed 24 youth employment contracts
  • Ran 197 crews under the BC E-Teams, employing over 2,000 youth 
  • Operates a successful social enterprise with 26 employees 
  • 1,134 job seekers found employment through Work-Based Training program

Bowman Employment Services Inc.

  • 22 years of employment experience
  • Successfully operated an EAS serving general and specialized clients throughout the Fraser Valley for the past 15 years
  • 9 years of experience delivering the Community Coordinator Skill Development supports 
  • Provided employment and Wage subsidy programs (Okanagan & Fraser Valley), offering employer services and matching, job placements, job coaching and employer and client support
  • Disbursed a total of $16M to employers, clients and training providers (last fiscal year)
  • Placed over 1,700 participants into permanent full-time employment
  • Has assisted 700 youth clients in skill enhancement and 400 high-risk youth to gain sustainable employment
  • Employs 91 staff in 9 locations across the province

Communitas Supportive Care Society

  • Over 35 years of providing vocational, residential, daytime, respite and peer support services for people with disabilities
  • Proven success in serving people who have mental health issues and developmental disabilities to gain meaningful employment
  • Operates STEP Enterprises, a collection of social enterprise offerings that provide practical employment and training opportunities to clients of Communitas
  • In the last 3 years alone, has successfully maintained over 600 contracts with the provincial government
  • Staff are selected for their dual abilities to relate to the Job Seeker and the market base
  • Employs 450 staff

Community Futures - South Fraser

  • Launched in 1998, Community Futures South Fraser (CFSF) is part of a network of 269 Community Futures organizations across Canada, all dedicated to local economic development
  • Annually  CFSF provides more than 500 business-related advisory and training sessions
  • Have placed over 1,000 participants into full-time self-employment
  • All program staff are experienced business advisors who have also been successful entrepreneurs
  • Chaired the 10x10 Challenge and the Measuring Up provincial initiative
